Reading a good novel in a while
The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I haven’t read a novel in a while. Fortunately, the novel I recently got my eyes on also happens to be a terrific one. The dramatic intro, the increasing suspense, the originality of the plot spring to my mind when thinking about The Graveyard Book. It also reminds me of the Jungle Book, where the author got part of his inspiration.
I forgot what it takes to embrace the gift of a good story – how the author crafted his art with mastery, like an omnipresent God who knows everything but won’t unveil anything leaving us to guess where the action is going, the characters’ intention…I was hooked from the beginning until the end. What I usually do with books that I like deeply, I kind of intentionally postponed its ending contemplating on it instead…Because I really dislike letting go of good books. Once you open The Graveyard Book you won’t let go and will dive deep into fantasy.
