Photography is like fishing
I’m not a professional photographer. But I’ve always enjoyed taking pictures, which turned me into an observer ( it’s not always fun because you nolonger live the moment and if you’re traveling with your partner, it might happen like in this scene in the movie, 2 days in Paris). When I happen to go out and don’t take my camera, I see the world around me in frames, and I often find myself thinking: “This would make such a nice photograph!”
Why do I say photography is like fishing? Because you sometimes wait for hours or days until you catch the big fish. But as a fisherman / photographer, you arm yourself with the patience, hope, will, desire, enthusiasm that today is the day you’re gonna get that beautiful monster. Eventually you will, and that makes all the waiting worthwhile.
